僕はここニューヨークでファッションフォトグラファーをしています。私はフィルム撮影やデジタル撮影をします。

I am a fashion photographer here in nyc, i have some ideas that i transfer to film or i put them on a memory card.

Jose Carlos:

ファッションフォトグラファーは、より多くの事をいつも要求される。ワンショット撮るたびに、様々な要素を考えながら、撮影をしていかないといけない。
たとえば、モデル。モデルに指示をだしたり、光の具合のこと、また、ライトの角度や距離をかえたりと、モデルが動くたびに、カメラの設定を変更しなくてはならない。さらに、構成やフレーミングのことも常に頭でかんがえておかなくてはならない。

そして、 アートディレクターや、ファッションデザイナーもいる。彼らは写真のイメージを通して、デザインした商品を売ろうとしているから、デザイナーの作品の写真を撮りつつ、コンセプトをしっかり反映させる写真を撮らなければならない。これらすべての要素をふまえて、一瞬一瞬で、写真をとっていかなければならないから、ファッションフォトグラファーは、大変だと思う。しかし、その分、とてもエキサイティングだし、自分自身をアーティストとして試すいい機会だとも思う。

Fashion photography is more demanding, everytime you shoot fashion you have to think on the several elements that are involved on the shooting, like directing the model, litting the model precisely and changing lights angles and distances therefore resetting you camera everytime the models moves. Composition and framing are other things to keep in mind, then you have to remember that you have art directors and fashion designers that are trying to sell their products through your images so you need to lit and show the designer`s pieces and been technically capable to deliver the creative concept that was planned. All you have is just a few seconds to put all these elements togethers, therefore i see fashion photography as a very complicated one however its very exiting and gives you the opportunity to express yourself as an artist.

ここは、とても競争が激しい、世界中からすばらしいフォトグラファーが集まっているからね。でも、自分をどんどん高めていくには、すばらしい環境だとおもう。ニューヨークや他の世界の都市でも同じように、ファッション業界は、大きな影響をあたるようになってきたと思う。

Here is very competitive and you have good photographers from all over the world, however i liked that way because it gives you great expectations and you know you can get higher. The fashion industry here in NY like in some other parts of the world has become a very large and influence industry.

Jose Carlos:

今、私は慣例主義を崩すような新しい照明科学技術と革新的なものに取り組んでいます。

Right now i am working on new lighting technics and innovative imagenery, something that will break conventionalism.

Jose Carlos:

もう少し時間が出来たらすぐにでも今までがむしゃらにやってきた映画作成とインダストリアルデザインの２つをしようと考えています。

Well as soon as i have more time i will get into film making and industrial design that are two things that i have been working randomly.

Jose Carlos:

この業界の人々と話をしながら、気づいたけど、私は、日本文化や価値観に興味がある。日本人のオシャレなコたちのスタイリングが、とても好き。とても、クリエーティブで、ユニークそして大胆だ。自分の好きなスタイル、そしてすばらしいアイディアを表現しつつ生きていってほしい。

Personally i respect a lot japanese culture and values, i find them good contribuitors to this world and talking about fashion, i love how they style themselves, its very creative, unique and bold. Go on with the good ideas. All best to you my friends.
